The 16th Fatty Acids in Cell Signaling Conference (FACS-2026), hosted at UC Davis from December 1–3, 2026, will bring together leading researchers to examine the latest developments in fatty acid metabolism, signaling, and their implications for human health. With a focus on dairy lipids and fats in metabolic and brain health, the conference continues FACS’s longstanding tradition of providing a focused, small-format forum for discussion of emerging findings, scientific controversies, and translational opportunities in the field.

Supported by IIFH, the program will feature sessions on fatty acid metabolism, lipidomics, brain health, cardiometabolic disease, and development and aging, with particular attention to omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, dairy fats, bioactive lipid mediators, and ketones. By convening experts from UC Davis and peer institutions, the meeting is designed to advance dialogue around how lipids influence health and disease while strengthening the research community working at the intersection of nutrition, metabolism, and neuroscience.
