Food & Health (FH) Angels has announced its first investment, backing Persperion Diagnostics as the company advances a non-invasive glucose monitoring device that measures glucose levels using a small amount of sweat from a fingertip. Designed as a potential alternative to traditional finger-prick testing, the technology aims to make glucose monitoring more accessible and affordable while supporting people who need to track their metabolic health. The new funding will support key milestones, including product development, a pilot clinical study, and an initial FDA submission.
Founded out of Davis, FH Angels brings together investors and experts focused on accelerating science-based innovations that address metabolic health and the future of food and health. The network emphasizes commercially scalable technologies with the potential to improve health outcomes, while providing startups with strategic guidance alongside capital. Persperion’s investment reflects the group’s interest in technologies that could expand access to personalized health monitoring and preventative care.
